The Longmen Line (route number 0774) is a large urban loop bus operated by the Penghu County Public Vehicle and Ferry Administration. Departing from Magong Main Station, it runs east along County Highway 204, winds through the northern and eastern villages of Huxi Township, reaches the Longmen terminus, and then loops back to Magong in a clockwise circuit. Along the way it serves Huimin Hospital, Magong Senior High School, Penghu Airport, Aimen Beach, Lintou Park, and the Cai Tinglan Jinshi Residence, covering local healthcare, schools, airport transfers, and sightseeing stops. It is one of the most commonly used bus routes for Huxi Township residents heading to work or a clinic, airport passengers travelling into town, and independent travelers hopping between attractions on the eastern side of the main island.

The defining feature of the 0774 Longmen Line is that a single line covers both commuter and sightseeing needs. The urban section links the schools of Magong with Penghu Hospital, while the eastern section runs past Penghu Airport, Aimen Beach, and the Lintou Park coastline before reaching deep into the villages of Huxi. Some services extend to Beiliao and Qingluo, and between April and September additional runs continue to the Longmen Ferry Terminal to connect with ferries bound for Qimei and Wang-an. In winter, the line keeps to the basic loop, since demand for those outlying island ferries drops when the northeast monsoon is at its strongest.
Because this is a loop service, the same bus will appear at stops near Magong Main Station more than once during the day. When boarding, always check the direction sign on the front of the bus — “to Longmen” or “to Magong” — so you don’t end up riding the long way around.
When to ride
On weekdays, the 6:50 AM and 7:45 AM departures are the commuter and airport rush-hour peaks, with plenty of students and local residents on board; travelers with large luggage are better off avoiding these runs. If you are heading to Aimen Beach, Lintou Park, or the Guoye sunrise viewpoint, the 8:50 AM or 10:20 AM services are a good choice. For the return leg, the 2:35 PM or 4:10 PM services help you avoid the crowded last bus.
In summer (June to September), if you plan to connect with ferries to Qimei or Wang-an, check in advance whether the day’s service extends to the Longmen Ferry Terminal and aim to reach the harbor at least 30 minutes before your sailing. In winter, the northeast monsoon brings strong gusts around Guoye and Longmen, so wear a windproof jacket while you wait at the stop.
